International Employee Assistance Services

As your organization grows globally, your EAP can support that growth. Today, an increasing number of companies are looking to add an EAP benefit to serve their expatriate employees and family members. C&A can help serve those needs too.

If you have employees who are on assignment overseas, you know firsthand the challenges that come with adjusting to a foreign culture. You also know the high cost to your organization when an assignment requires an early repatriation. Offering an International Employee Assistance Program (IEAP) gives you one more tool to insure a successful overseas experience for all of your expatriates.

The IEAP offers a complete package of services to your expatriates that begins before the assignment and ends after their successful repatriation:

Global Assistance Counseling:

  • 24-hour toll-free access to Global EAP counselors
  • Assessment, referral, and counseling
  • Crisis intervention counseling
  • Case management and follow-up
  • IEAP mentorship program services for high-risk families
  • Network of local treatment resources and daily living resources.

Pre-Departure Services:

  • Group, family and individual pre-departure debriefing and assessment of cultural adaptation skills
  • Skill-building training sessions in targeted areas
  • Cultural orientation sessions for employee's family members and company representatives with repatriated employee, when possible.

Repatriate Services:

  • Telephone and correspondence contact with employees regarding repatriation services
  • Development and coordination of repatriation resource network of company employees available to provide support
  • Individual, family, and group repatriation debriefing sessions to reduce culture shock and address psychological aspects of returning to work.

Promotional Package:

  • IEAP brochures with access/wallet card
  • Posters
  • Topical brochures on expatriate issues.

Whatever the need, the IEAP will be there to serve your expatriate families. Whether it's the initial adjustment to a foreign culture, the isolation and loneliness that is frequently part of the expatriate experience, or adjustment issues for spouses and children, IEAP can help by offering rapid assessment, problem solving and intervention services . . . wherever your people may be working.
